Tonight my mom told me another story over dinner.

It was short and not embellished, but it brought tears to my eyes anyway.
It was one of those nights.

My great great grandmother (with a really intense German last name that I can’t recall) had the chore of hanging out the family laundry on the clothesline. She would always sing while she worked out on the porch. A boy passed by one day, heard her voice, and came back at the same time every day to hear her sing.
They ended up getting married.

I feel like I don’t hear stories like that often enough anymore.
